Day 1 - Monday 22 April – Departure from USA (Flights not included)

Today you will board your international flight towards the Holy Land of Israel to walk the Footsetps of our Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Week to the Resurrection.

Day 2 - Tuesday 23 April – Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport

Arrive at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv.

Upon arrival, you will meet your representative who will assist you and transfer you to your hotel in Jerusalem for your first dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 3 - Wednesday 24 April – Old city tour

After breakfast, most of this morning will be touring in Jerusalem.

We shall begin by the Mount of Olives, then follow the Footsteps of Jesus.

Visit Dominus Flevit (Luke 19.41) where He wept over the city. 

Down at the bottom of Kidron Valley we will visit the Greek Orthodox Church marking the tomb of St. Mary.

Visit The Garden of Gethsemane the site of the arrest of Jesus and taking Him to the house of the High priest Caiaphas (Matt. 26.34, Mark 14.30 and Luke 22.54-70). 

We continue to Mount Zion to see the tomb of King David and the nearby Room of the Last Supper (Mark 14.13, Luke 22. 10-38).

If Bishop Antonios time table will permit- we will have a meeting with him in the late afternoon.

(Exact time of the meeting to be advised and expect itinerary changes due to time of meeting. Subjected to availability and approval of the Coptic Church).


Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 4 - Thursday 25 April – Thursday of the New Covenant

We will visit the Orthodox Church of the Nativity, followed by a visit to the one of the most ancient Greek Orthodox Monasteries in our region – The 4th century Mar Sava Monastery, built on the banks of the Kidron dry river canyon.

On the way back we will visit the Greek Orthodox Church at the Shepherds Fields. 

Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 5 - Friday 26 April- Good Friday

Today is GOOD FRIDAY, we will have a special service at the Coptic Church until about 1:00pm.

In the afternoon, we will visit different sites in the old city.

We will start with the Jewish Quarter to see the Roman Cardo - ancient Roman/ Byzantine Street, the Western Wall. 

The Via Dolorosa, (Way of Grief) traditionally accepted as the last route by Jesus, where Jesus carried his Cross all the way to Golgotha.

We will visit the pools of Bethesda in the way.

Later in the afternoon, we will visit the 6th century Orthodox Monastery at  the Valley of the Cross, the longtime tradition say that from here the olive tree used for Jesus cross was cut.

Day 6 - Saturday 27 April – Holy light ceremony

Today is the Saturday of the Holy Light. Early morning departure from the hotel and transfer to the Coptic Church at the Holy Sepulcher Church in the old city.

Since many believers are expected to come to the event we need to be there as early as possible. The event will take place at the early afternoon around 1:00 pm.

Day 7 - Sunday 28 April – Jordan Valley and Dead Sea

After breakfast, we will start our day by driving along the Jordan Valley to visit to the Orthodox Monasteries built on the bank of the Jordan River east of Jericho commemorating the baptismal of Jesus by John the Baptist. Arrive to Qasar El Yehud-, and swim at the baptismal site on the Jordan River.

Arrive Jericho visit the ancient Tell and view the Orthodox Monastery of the temptation of Jesus. Drive to Wadi Kelt to view the Orthodox Monastery of St. George built over the canyon cliffs. Drive to Bethany and visit the tomb of Lazarus the ancient city of Jericho, believed to be the oldest city on earth, with cable car climb to Mt. Quarantal, where Jesus spent 40 days when Satan tried to tempt him. It is also the place where Jesus stopped on his way to Jerusalem, on the eve of the Passover and where Jesus cured the blind man during His stay at Zachaeus house.

Day 8 - Monday 29 April - Departure

Transfer to Tel Aviv International airport to board your returning flight. (B)

We will leave Jerusalem with memories and an experience that will last us for a life time.
